An historic home in Phoenix, that was designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright for his son, may be demolished. Efforts by the current owner to find a buyer for the unique house located in an Arcadia neighborhood near 56th Street and Camelback Road have not produced a buyer.
The home is known as the Gladys and David Wright House. It was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in the 1950s. The home is elevated and enjoys some similarities to the Wrights’ most famous home, “Fallingwater.”
The current owner of the home is planning a redevelopment of the property near Scottsdale, but has made efforts to find a buyer for the house as an alternative to new development on the property.
Frank Lloyd Wright designed several homes in the vicinity of Scottsdale, Arizona after he established Arizona as his winter home from 1937 until his death in 1959.
